EV Site Photographer Case Study — Drone, PR & Site Coverage Across the UK

UNP was commissioned as an EV site photographer partner to build a nationwide stills library for a major public EV charging network, covering charging hubs, forecourts, retail car parks and city-centre sites. The brief combined drone overviews, PR stills and people-led imagery to support ESG storytelling, investor communications and day-to-day marketing.

While GRIDSERVE cannot formally endorse external suppliers, we’re proud that the people we work with value UNP’s nationwide coverage and consistency on a personal level. As Jon Quirk, Senior PR & Comms Manager at GRIDSERVE, kindly put it:

“We’re really delighted with the work you support us with… and overall, we’re really happy with the service UNP provides us with our hubs.”

GRIDSERVE’s EV infrastructure rollout has been widely covered by industry titles including Fleet News and EV Infrastructure News.

EG On The Move also rely on national PR, site and retail photography across dozens of EV and convenience locations. As Megan McKelvie, Digital Marketing Co-ordinator at EG OTM, says:

“UNP’s photographer network is truly national and gives us constant, quality retail coverage for EG OTM sites in every region.”

EG On The Move’s multi-brand retail and EV strategy has been examined by The Grocer, reflecting the operational scale of its UK estate.

Why EV Site Photography Matters at Scale

As EV infrastructure expands nationwide, consistent visual documentation increasingly supports transparency, planning confidence and public understanding — a trend reflected across UK transport and infrastructure reporting, including ongoing coverage by Fleet News.

For public EV charging networks, visibility and trust are as important as technology. A professional EV site photographer helps translate infrastructure investment into clear, usable imagery that demonstrates accessibility, reliability and real-world adoption.

From early-stage rollout announcements to live operational sites, these images support PR communications, stakeholder updates and ESG reporting without disrupting customers or site operations.

Nationwide EV Site Coverage Without Disruption

Delivering consistent EV site photography across the UK requires a logistics model built for scale. Using our multi-location photographer network, UNP deploys local professionals who understand access, safety and live-site constraints.

UK EV infrastructure standards and funding frameworks are shaped in part by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) , whose guidance influences rollout, accessibility and public charging strategy nationwide.

This approach avoids unnecessary travel, reduces carbon impact, and allows coverage to happen alongside live charging use — not staged shutdowns. Where required, licensed drone photography provides aerial context to support planning, investor and infrastructure communications.

Scalable Visual Assets for EV Network Growth

The result is a flexible, future-proof image library that grows alongside the charging network itself. Imagery from this programme is used across press announcements, retail marketing, planning submissions and internal communications.

Whether documenting a flagship forecourt or a newly commissioned regional site, UNP’s EV site photographer coverage ensures charging networks can clearly demonstrate progress, usability and nationwide reach — without slowing rollout or operations.
