Established in August 1997, with unp.co.uk registered in October 1997, and incorporated as United National Photographers Ltd on 16 July 2001, UNP brings nearly three decades of continuity to press, PR, corporate and event photography. For clients, that means a national Picture Desk built on long-term experience, operational resilience and consistently applied professional standards.
Built on real editorial foundations
UNP’s earliest recorded assignments in August 1997 already included work for The Times, The Independent, TES, Health Service Journal, Police Review, Community Care, Sunday Times, Financial Times, Halifax Plc and established PR agencies — early evidence of the editorial and communications standards the network still works to today.

From the beginning, UNP was built around practical coverage, dependable delivery and professional coordination. Today, that same model continues through our central UK Picture Desk, matching each assignment with the most appropriate photographer from our established UK-wide network and supplying press, PR, corporate and event photography nationwide.

Photographers working with UNP are seasoned professionals, typically operating with multi-camera setups, backup equipment and portable lighting. Many maintain £5 million in public liability insurance, with some carrying cover of up to £10 million, alongside appropriate professional insurance for the assignments they undertake.
